engine seized

To remove the engine, transfer parts from one engine to another, reinstall and test drive will take 9 hours according to my labor guide. I can't imagine someone would install it for $25 and hour and do a top class job.
Happened to me. I supplied the engine, they charged $900 to install it.
initially was told it would be $250, then after I got the engine the price suddenly went to 1000$. Feel like I'm getting stiffed!!
I just had my engine replaced. Towing, labor, additional parts (like exhaust gasket), etc. was $1200.
I am paying 2800.00 for a engine with 63000 miles on it for my 1996 cad.sls.the only reason why i am doing it is because the boby is in mint condition.
bought the re-placement engine (1500$), do not want to get stiffed on the installation of it! So what should I be looking at for labor costs (dollars are very important to me)?
most local garages will charge a flat rate. some will charge by the labor hour which in this year and time could range from $65_ $75 an hour, most dealerships are getting atleast $100.00 pr hr. I just completed a 2002 yukon 5.3 with new oil pump and all seals and gaskets plus a fresh tuneup and a total flush of the engine.the engine costed the owner $1300.00 and his labor from start to finish was $800.00 . so with this said" the total cost for this owner was $2100.00. in the year of 2011. I have no clue where patrick got his $25.00 pr hr maybe 20 yrs ago. not now ...maybe a very close friend can do the job for $25.00 pr hr.
