i am replacing a leaking ac hose tomorrow. should we use a vaccum pump on system

the system is completly discharged now so i will be adding oil and refrigerant should we pull a vacum on the system first?

replace the hose, replace the dryer, add about 2 oz of oil and vacuum it for about 30 minutes before charging Roy
