HVAC Blower Motor May Fail on Mercedes-Benz S550

The HVAC blower motor may fail. This is commonly caused by water entry through the cabin air filter areas during heavy rain or snow. Failed blower motors should be replaced. Our technicians tell us there is no special fix for this issue at this time.

Air Conditioner does not work or blow. Ive replaced two fans...It sporadically comes on and at other times does not come on at all no matter what i do to controls...Ive owned Audi's BMWs and Infinitis and even lincolns and never had a problem with the air conditioner...How about riding around in a Mercedes with the windows down in 90+ degree weather while Hyundai EQuus drivers fly by looking comfortable...Does Mercedes have no shame or integrity...wow!!! And after wnting this car all this time, truly dissappointing

2008 S550 with an ac that is not working. Never had a problem like that with a BMW That I gave to my niece and now has over 250,000 miles. Lexus had over 150,000 and Mercedes can't make it to 50,000. Lesson learned.

Driving one day and realized that the heat was not coming on. Took car back to dealer and they advised me that it was the blower motor and that this is a common problem in these cars. (yea common problem in $112,000 car) Dealer then advised me that water was coming in from a clogged up drain plug for the pano roof drain which comes down the A pillar and into the engine compartment to drain. Hopefully its fixed now...almost $1100 later!!!

Blower motor failure from water
My heater blower need to be replace so can you tell me where it is located?
Had the AC Blower Motor short out for the 2nd time. First time was in 2012 at about 70,000 miles. Two years later it is working on and off again. Taking it for service today. It rained heavy and car was parked outside which doesn't happen often. Of course, it doesn't work the day I am leaving for a 6 hour drive with my wife and 2 cats in the car. Let's hope it can be fixed today otherwise there is going to be a lot of complaining by wife and cats!
No air blowing from the a.c. after rainy weekend. Taking it in to get checked out tomorrow.
my blower motor went out at 80,000 miles and had to be replaced.
No air flow with all indicators of activity showing that the system was on. No response to manual adjustment of fan speed control. Local dealer suspected a fuse but made a final diagnosis of a failed blower motor. Replaced to the tune of $800+ including parts and labor.
Air conditioner does not blow and in the summer in the south, that blows.
Blower motor failure time 2. Replaced motor.
