I have 2002 Intrepid 3.5 the car goes into limp mode many times afetr reaching speeds of 40-50 miles per hour then it hits limp mode after slowing to bout 20- 25 mph. It will reset by putting it in park turning car off and restarting only. How do I fix it?

What are the trouble codes? Vehicle Application: 2002 Dodge Intrepid ES 3.5L, Vin M 2004 Dodge Intrepid SE 2.7L Customer Concern: Transmission goes into limp-in intermittently. Trouble code P1776 stored. Tests/Procedures: 1. Check the build date on the solenoid pack as per TSB 21-008-04 Rev A. If between 3001 and 0603, replace the solenoid pack. The first three digits are the day of the year and the fourth digit is the year. 2. If not between the build dates above, check the Transmission Range Sensor (TRS) using a scan tool. 3. Monitor the Low/Reverse (LR) pressure switch. It should never go closed when the transmission is in 2nd, 3rd or 4th gears. If it does, the solenoid switching valve may be sticking in the valve body. Potential Causes: Solenoid Pack TRS Valve Body Diagnostic Codes: P1776
