Hello, if it was a gas cap issue, the light will eventually turn off if the problem has resolved. Alternatively, you can disconnect your battery for 10 minutes or so and the light will reset until diagnostic monitors check out the various systems and validate everything works properly. Nothing beats a proper analysis by someone that has a diagnostic tool and some skill and knowledge.
