What is your question?
The heater core in my marquis is leaking and I'm going to bypass the core until I can get the money together to repair it correctly - I was told about $700.00. I'm not sure which hoses are the right ones - I am a widow, used to helping my husband do all the auto repairs.

I'm no mechanic, but I do a lot of DIY repairs on my vehicles. First thing to do is buy a repair manual for that year and make of vehicle. This will show you where the core is located and which hoses feed it. I have the same problem with my 96 Grand Am and for it, the answer is to disconnect the water hoses from the heater core, at the firewall, in the engine compartment, and connect the two hoses together with small coupler and hose clamps. This will cause loss of heater operation so should only be done temporarily until you can get the core replaced, especially if you live where there are cold temps in the winter months.
