Power Steering leaging but very hard to find, i am overseas right now but the maintenance shop can't seem to find the leak for my wife.
Does the pump have to come off to replace the HP Line.
Power steering is intermediately going out on the left side of the vehicle. I heard a pop sound about a week ago and lost power steering for left turns only. I checked the fluid and it was low, so I replaced the missing liquid and I am still experiencing the same issue. Biggest problem is that the power steering sometimes will kick in on left turns but not usually, so I have to act like there is not a problem when turning till I can realize if the power steering is going to kick in or not. If anyone can shed a light on what might be the issue please let me know!!
Power steering leaks and must be on the return side as filling with fluid will last a few days before sound starts again. Need to know how to find free info on how to repair this.
my power steering fluid has to be refilled every few weeks but now has gotten to every few days, repair shop told me it is leaking into the rack and will cost 680.00
I lost power steering due to another leak in hose..had fixed several time but it has happened once again. Onetime clap came off of hose, another small leak in hose and now who knows. Iput fluid in but still no power steering nor see it leaking out. Will have to pay about $100.00 to have loked at and see what is wrong this time. I have more problems with the p[ower steering in this truck than any other problems in any car I ever owned,.
They want to replace pump and lines ($1,000) - just started acting up - almost out of fluid after recent 90K tune up! I'm NOT happy
Can smell some power steering fluid after car warms up..... When making a sharp turn has a slight groaning noise..... Replaced steering rack about two years ago
Power steering fluid leaking and getting on the belt which is flinging the fluid everywhere. Can not find the leak. Will replace lines in the am
Noticed the grinding noise after oil change at Sears. Doubt they checked the fluid levels. Never going back there again. Purchased power steering fluid, filled the empty reservoir. Today August 16, 3 months later, took it to Valvoline for oil change. They checked fluid - dry! Gahhhh. Going to have the power steering hose replaced. Hope that solves it. I let you know in another month.
Terrible noise while turning. Poor turning radius. Adding fluid tonight while waiting for appointment to get car checked out.
