What is your question?
I have to let my car heat up for about two hours before I can safely drive it without hearing a knocking sound when I accelerate and turn corners. Even so, after I heat up the car for at least two hours, I still have to be cautious driving it, because if I break too hard or too suddenly, the knocking will return. I drive a 2012 Hyundai Veracruz fwd limited with 60, 953 miles to date. I took it to the Hyundai repair shop and they said something was loose, and they tighten it. But days later, the knocking sound returned. What do I do? Additionally, to try to alleviate the problem, I stop using 87 gas, and began using 89 gas, and I also switched gas stations as well.
What makes this problem better or worse?
It seem better after 2 hours of starting the car before pulling off to drive
How long has your 2012 Hyundai Veracruz had this problem?
For a few weeks now

Does anyone have a solution or possible theory as it relates to my car problems?
Hello, when your vehicle sits still, are you hearing the knocking noise? Does the noise vary when pressing the accelerator while in "park"? Happy to try and help, but trying to learn more about your issue. Thanks!
Hi Dave, Thank you kindly. While in park, the car does not make the knocking sound. But it does sound like its running hard. I have not pressed the accelerator while in park. Shall I try it?
Hello, I am trying to determine if your noise is engine related or not, or if instead it is related to when the vehicle is moving. Pressing the accelerator while in park with the engine running to increase engine speed may inspire that noise — or it may not.
Hi Dave, The noise only happens when it is moving. Pressing the accelerator does not produce the knocking sound. Oh and it also shakes when I accelerate if I do not allow it to run before driving. I explained the sound to a friend that once fixed on cars before he retired, just to see what he thought, and he said it sounds like the motor. I made an appointment to the Hyundai dealership for Friday. But I took the car to them before to diagnose the problem and they said the transaxle was loose...so they tighten it and said the problem was fixed. I skeptical about taking my vehicle back to them. Any solutions or theories? Or does it sounds like the motor to you as well?
If noise only occurs while moving, I would have this vehicle evaluated for simply a road test by a local trusted shop near you. Internal motor issues do not present themselves only when moving. It's so hard to say in this forum. Again, no idea here, but doubting the engine as the root cause until testing is performed.
