I havent fixed the problem but my headlights turn off while I am driving in the dark. Very scary and very unsafe. I would like feedback as to what will fix it.
Auto headlights turn off when driving in the dark. I can turn them back on manually but for the few seconds of pitch of dark driving at 60 mph it is dangerous.
In my case, the intermittent and unpredictable headlamp outage problem was solved by replacing a corroded/worn out HEADLAMP RELAY with a new relay in the UNDERHOOD RELAY CENTER located on the driver side of the engine compartment. Relay part number: AC DELCO D1780C. The headlight switch was not the problem as originally thought.
