What is your question?

Dodge Ram Van 3500. I've been noticing a squeaking coming from the serpentine belt; from one of the pulleys. Today the generator guage went from 14 to 110. The alert beep sounded. Probably a dumb question, but does this mean the generator is going bad?

What makes this problem better or worse?

Cold weather.

How long has your 2002 Dodge Ram 3500 Van had this problem?

Hello, If the gauge went from 14 to 11, the alternator either failed, or the serpentine belt broke. If the belt broke, check to see if one of the pulleys are seized. That will probably tell you what the squeak was.
