What is your question?
The day before yesterday, in the morning, I got a Fuel Cap warning light on my dashboard. I checked the fuel cap and it seemed fine. I screwed it back in and it clicked in place. The next day I noticed that the Fuel Cap warning light is off but now the Check Engine light is on. Could someone have tried to syphon my gas?

Hello, there is no reason to expect that someone tried to syphon your gas from these concerns alone. Physical damage is possible and verifiable if you trace down to the possible cause of evaporative emissions system leakage. Testing will be needed to find out what code is present. Then, it will be necessary to trace down to the root cause of that code. Some experience will be needed as well as some proper equipment to test the systems.
