What is your question?
From being completely stopped at a stop sign to giving just enough gas to pull out on a road my truck seems to fall into neutral. Either the RPMs will come back down and the truck will jolt and on my way I go or I will shift my truck from the drive position up into neutral and back to drive. It's been happening for about a month now. It's a 2009 silverado 1500 crew cab. RWD, 109,000+/- miles. Have not had the check engine light on for anything regarding this issue. Doesn't make any unusual noise while I'm driving or in idle. It will happen at least once a day. When I'm driving it runs fine but from a stopped position to a small amount of acceleration it will just happen stays in neutral for a few seconds and back to drive. It doesn't happen at every stop sign or from every stop and go position, just a random occurrence at least once a day sometimes more but it doesn't change visually on the cluster.
What makes this problem better or worse?
It happens randomly hot or cold engine
How long has your 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 had this problem?

Definitely sounds like a transmission engagement issue. Check the transmission fluid level. Is it full? Is it clean? The only basic thing to do is replace the transmission fluid. But, it's unlikely to help much. There is likely either an electrical or mechanical issue with the automatic transmission that will require some hands on troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve. No further guessing to be done without proper testing. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
