There could be more to it. I don't have this code in my list but I know it's an evaporative emission system code relating to the leak detection pump. A gascap will not fix it. You need to find a Mazda specialist, someone familiar with the car will save you money dealing with this system. Buy a non-Mazda gas cap. We had this problem for several years. Bought 5 or 6 mazda gas caps. This worked for several weeks, then the light came on again. Finally, we experimented with a gas cap from Advance Auto Parts. That was 2 years ago. No problem since then.
