My check engine light has gone off talking about cooling fan control circuit number 1 and cooling fan control circuit number 3 and when I look in the front of my truck there are no electric fans there is a belt-driven mechanical fan but if you lay underneath the truck and look somebody has wire tied up 2 wire harness plugs to the metal cross bar, does that mean It had electric fans and they're now missing
How long has your 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 had this problem?

Workshop manuals - depending on the engine you have - would show two electrical cooling fans. If you have none, it's pretty certain that for some inexplicable reasons yours are missing. Did the check engine light just show up though? Wouldn't make sense that it would just start coming on if the fans have been removed a long time.
