cruise control not working

What is your question?

The cruise control doesn't work. All fuses are ok and there are no other electrical problem associated with this, the brake lights work properly. I checked the cruise deactivation switch at the brake pedal and it is ok ( i bypassed the switch and still not working). what else can I do?

Where is the fuse for the cruise control located on a 1999 Mercury Grand Marque? The curise control doesn't work. If I press the ON button and then set cruise nothing happens and the car just starts to slow down. If the fuse isn't the problem, what is the next thing I should be looking for?
