Center console bubbled, still intact. Radio fm band no sound. Few months later radio disp[lay functional but no sound at all. Cd player stopped working also. I am the original owner.
Center console material has many small holes and pulling away of fabric leaving it baggy/loose, unsightly compared to rest of interior which is still nice.
Same issue as documented, the center console vinyl gets loose and bubbles. The issue is sub-par quality for a Merc and not what you expect/pay for, but just a minor cosmetic issue really.
The people that sold me the car said all you have to do is take it off and then stretch the leather and glue it back then put the top of the console back on... we did that and that doesn't solve the problem ... it's still bubly (though not as bad) and to get a new console is $235. Does anyone know how to fix it?
Problem with center console cover bubbling noticed at 75,000 miles. Replacement cover is the suggestion and will probably do that in next few weeks - about $200.
