Heater core leaked. This is a big pain to fix because the whole dash needs to be removed... No access panel.

I am asking for my mechanic to test the core if it is something that is done without special equipment- then i can determine if that was the problem- I assume it is because the previous owner had installed a new radiator. I have not found out much in regard to how a test is done or where to find a copper heater core.
