Terrible moldy smell from vents. It's making us SICK! My chest feels tight, bad cough, hard to breath. My son's ears feel clogged, and sinus pressure, nausea, SICK! Don't know how to fix it!!!!! NO cabin filter on the Aspens!!!!! ):
We have tried everything to get rid of the smell. Just finally came across yesterday that it might be a problem in the vent or the air cabin filter, which my car does not even have.

The smell is so bad people smell it on me after I get out of the car. Unacceptable Chrysler.
i can smell on my jacket even after I take it off in my house..it starts making my house stink;

Should be a recall/class action. Ridiculous
I noticed the musty smell when I turned on the air conditioner. A spray was used by the Service Department. I was advised to not always use the recycling air. The smell is back of course. The mileage was approximately 80,000 miles when the must odor returned.
Musty odor just started this summer. Wondered if there was a cabin filter that needed cleaned/replaced.
When i turn on my Ac it smells terrible like a dirty rag am getting really tried of this what can I do?
Had a musty odor coming from the AC when first turned on, then either smell goes away or I am getting used to it. The dealer used some new process (~ $100) to get rid of the odor which worked for about 10000 miles but now the odor is starting to come back. Other than that, I have had no other issues with this vehicle and it has a lot of power with the 5.7 Hemi. My previous vehicle (1997 Ford F150) never got a musty smell even after 11 years which tells me that there must be some design flaw since both vehicles were in the same environments.
