If the code is insufficient flow, your car needs to be scanned at a shop to verify the DPFE sensor is working properly. this sensor is a coomon failure in OHC Ford V8's.It shoud read about 1 volt DC with the key on and the engine off. If it reads lower, or near 5 volts DC, the sensor is faulty. The older 4.6's did have problems with clogging EGR ports, but that was long solved by 2001.
did you have a real diag or a code pull from a parts person. lots of possibles for egr codes and you need a real tech from a real shop for a diag that is not free. it will be cheaper than throwing parts at it that will not fix the problem. Roy
