I haven't refill a 2004 Silverado but it should be straight forward fill the radiator and expansion tank with approved coolant, turn on the heater valve to full hot to get circulation through the heater core, open cooling system bleed screws if applicable, burp the coolant hose (ie squeeze the lower hose as you fill the cooling system to purge air and start the engine. After 60 seconds of running, switch off top up cooling system, run engine until fan comes on (watch temp gauge turn off at any time if over heating occurs) allow engine to cool, top up coolant as required and drive vehicle. Recheck for leaks and top up as required after road test, Autozone have some popular workshop manuals for free on line once you register (for free) on their website http://bit.ly/autozone_repair_info .There is a company that independent auto repair shops "buy" their information from that offer a very reasonable service to do it yourselvers.
