Car starts great, shift into gears, no CK engine light on give gas no drive.

Car stopped suddenly while driving no warnings, had towed repaired replaced entire shifter cable linkage and bushings. Now car still starts and turn on great, gears shift , and no chk engine light on. Chkd trans fluid level at safety level, a lil dark but no burn color or smell. Car still will not drive forward nor in reverse.and now a little lite roughness when car is in and in park.an idle noise not to bad but didn't have noise previous to any repaired done. What could the problem ? Maybe auto tech unplug , or loosened, or didn't reset something?please help resolve. Thank you.
