My Ford 500 stalls when stopped. I know that my battery needs replacing...could this be the cause of this?

Probably not if it restarts without a jump. I would think a vacuum leak or idle control valve issue. If the problem is consistent we could take a quick look at it for free if you would like, just call me on Monday at 253-833-8161. Good luck! Greg
