On November 4, 2016, Cadillac recalled 1,844 Cadillac XT5. General motors llc (gm) is recalling certain model year 2017 cadillac xt5 vehicles manufactured april 16, 2016, to may 9, 2016, and 2017 gmc acadia vehicles manufactured april 19, 2016, to april 22, 2016. the front brake calipers may have a torn or misaligned caliper piston seal which may allow brake fluid to leak.

Brake fluid may leak from the front brake caliper piston seals, reducing brake performance. The brake pedal may engage lower than expected, stopping distances could be longer than expected. This could result in an accident.

Recall repairs on your Cadillac or GMC Truck must be performed by a General Motors dealership. General Motors will notify known owners of affected vehicles (a timetable of this notification is unavailable as of the time of this writing).
