It should be behind your glove box. Here's a link that shows how to do on an older Sonata. We replaced my cabin filter in the service line in about 4-5 minutes. Its right behind the glove compartment. Its only a few screws to remove and Its so easy that the service guy did it for free when I took my car in for an oil change.
