where is the bcm located in my 2000 monte carlo ss and is it hard to get at?

The BCM in your 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo is located under the drivers side of the dash. It is not very difficult to replace. However, after replacement the new BCM must be properly "set-up" using a factory scan tool or an aftermarket tool with the capability to do so. Once the "set-up" procedure is complete a Theft Deterrent Re-Learn procedure must be completed.
where can i get a scanner for that & what type of aftermarket scanner is required
