What is your question?
when I bought the car it had the engine light on. It drives good inspite of that. My big problem is that it only gets 11 miles per gallon. I was told a sensor in the computer regulates something with the gas mixture but only the dealer can fix it. I am a senior on #ss and I used all I had to buy it and always at the gas station . I don't want to go to the dealer and find out it is not in the computer after getting charged to diagnose it again. Which I've had done 3 times, from private people (auto zone) (advance auto) and another mechanic friend. I also did a full tuneup but still only 11 miles per gallon. Can someone help me please. ?

It is so hard to guess what is wrong with out being able to do some diagnostic tests. There must be some independent Chrysler or Dodge specialty repair shop in your area that may be cheaper than the dealer. The sensor you have been told is bad is probably an Oxygen sensor. What specifically were the codes stored in the computer? The codes will be something like P0303 or P1436.
thank you for the reply...I gave the report to a friend and don't have it at my fingertips. But they are telling me it is the sensor that one...something about the mixture of the gas and oxygen. that is too rich. the problem is that they are telling me the computer has to be reprogramed and only the dealer can do it. I can't imagine what they will charge. ps..I had it diagnosed again..it is the contol module. again told i have to take it to the dealer.
could you tell me what an oxygen sensor usually costs to fix?
