Hello, Ticking noise will have to be identified when hearing it and tracking it down to the source. Oil leaks -- if your valve cover and timing cover repair does not repair it, then you may want to add dye to the engine oil and check it with a UV light to see where the oil is coming from initially. Ensure the engine is totally clean of oil so you can spot the leak fresh.
