1999 oil gage stays on empty

What is your question?

My 1999 dodge van started with check gage light then I noticed oil hand staying on empty even with oil in vehicle. Now it has started to stop at lights. I have gone to two different mechanics and the can not seem to find the problem. Please advise

There is no oil quantity gauge, it is an oil pressure gauge. Could be a couple of things, bad gauge, bad oil sending unit, bad oil pump, Or the bearings in the engine are so worn the pump can't build up any pressure.
