Dodge Neon Problems

Worn truck lid weatherstrip may cause rattle, water leak, or dust on Dodge Neon

Problem Description and Possible Solution

When the trunk lid weatherstrip (seal) is worn, the lid may rattle, water may leak into the trunk, or dust may get into the trunk. After installing a new trunk lid (deck lid) weatherstrip, be sure to adjust the trunk slam bumpers so the power trunk latch opens the trunk on the first attempt.

The weather strip ripped and was real worn. it was leaking water, dust and pretty much everything. I had to buy a new weatherstrip that wasn't cheap.
