If the engine is excessively noisy on startup (after the engine has been off for several hours) and the noise lasts more than four or five seconds, turn off the engine and check for correct engine oil level. If the oil level is correct, the noise may be caused by the timing chain tensioner. Kia released an updated timing chain tensioner to solve this problem.

Kia Amanti Problem
Engine Affected: 3.5L V6
Average Mileage: 83,808 mi (25,235 mi - 133,000 mi)
I have same issue, when starting my Amanti after a long time, it sounds horrible, after 5 minutes driving then it is nice smooth, is there something going out or this is something normal and I just need to be ignorant for the first 5 minutes. I don't feel any issues with my transmission but just read that there is an update for transmission software, what is that problem? Does Kia dealership charge for this if I asked for it?
Last miner issue, she I put reverse, rear mirrors should drop down to view lower view, sometimes right work, sometimes left work, what could be the reason for this?

My car sounds like a blender is running for about 10 to 15 minutes after running the car.

Every time I turn on the car it sounds like a lawn mower went off. Its terrible. Two years old and $33000 later I am fighting KIA to garentee the warranty. They say such noices is common, and not a transmission problem.
