For vehicles equipped with aftermarket accessory seat heaters, the seat heater elements in the front seats may short circuit if they are damaged by the seat cushion being compressed over time. This could result in a fire hazard.

Vehicles that had added on seat accessories such as seat cover installation, seat heaters or headrest DVD systems may not have had proper calibration procedures performed to properly operate the occupant sensing system of the passenger seat.
