On May 2, 2017, Toyota recalled 409 Toyota Corolla. Gulf states toyota, inc. (gulf states) is recalling certain 2017 4runner , 86, avalon, camry, camry hybrid, corolla, corolla im, highlander, highlander hybrid, prius, prius c, rav4, rav4 hybrid, sienna and yaris vehicles. the spare tire air pressure was not adjusted to the proper pressure as stated on the tire pressure label.

The spare tire equipped with the vehicle was not inflated to the proper air pressure specification as listed on the tire pressure label. This could result in the tire not being ready to perform as needed when installed, causing a safety issue.

Recall repairs on your Toyota must be performed by a Toyota dealership. Toyota will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in June, 2017. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Toyota dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. The passenger frontal air bag assembly is deployed by an inflator which contains propellant that makes the air bag deploy. This propellant may degrade over time, especially when exposed to humidity and temperature cycling. As a result, the inflator may rupture on deployment, which can send metal shrapnel through the air bag, striking vehicle occupants. This could result in serious injury or death.
