Saab 9-3 Problems

The Ignition Key May Become Stuck in the Ignition Lock Cylinder on Saab 9-3

Problem Description and Possible Solution

If the ignition switch is turned to the "lock" position when the vehicle speed is over 5km/hour, the ignition key cannot be removed from the lock cylinder. This is not a defect, but a normal design feature. In order to remove the key: Turn the ignition to the "on" position, wait several seconds, turn ignition to "lock" and remove the key.

not fixed. car won't start. had to rip the key fob (remote?) out of the ignition. won't turn back to LOCK, car won't turn off but also won't start. just had to leave it there and the battery is now dead. no updates thus far.
Car stalled while turning, key will not turn to the off position so cannot be removed, when turned to on an error is displayed with instructions to remove key (which cannot be done) and turn steering wheel before restarting. Car is currently stranded and will not even lock.
Had a big snow last night. Turned on the car and moved it. When I went to turn it off the key cylinder was stuck down and the key could not be removed...please help
