gas filler door became hard to open - a part was ordered - not yet fixed is this a repair I can do myself?
Since day one I had to push harder to get the gas door out, but there is a service bulletin by Honda for this issue, replacing the little spring and mechanism. I haven't really push the issue with Honda but they know about it... :-0
Fuel access door won't pop open when door pressed. Plunger/spring assembly hangs, lubrication no help
I have 2009 Fit (Ontario, Canada - the mileage is actually kilometres and zip the nearest border to me) with exact same problem. Sometimes have spent 5 minutes trying to get the fuel door to pop open and this has been happening for at least 3 years intermittently. Sorry, don't know of a fix...
The fuel door sticks so it sometimes doesnt open when im at the gas station and sometimes it wont close either. Its the fuel filler lifter that pushes open the door. it's defective. I need a part number to replace it
