Some Buick Encore owners report experiencing issues where the vehicle won't turn over after a new battery installation, accompanied by a ticking noise when off. These problems can stem from an incomplete battery capacity, as a new battery may not yet provide sufficient power for starting the vehicle. Additionally, some owners find that a dead battery, characterized by hard starting or slow cranking, can lead to clicking noises when attempting to start the engine. Starter problems are also noted, as a failed starter can prevent the vehicle from turning over, resulting in either a clicking sound or complete silence. Furthermore, a fast clicking noise when turning the ignition key may indicate low voltage or high resistance in the electrical system, suggesting deeper electrical issues. It is advisable for owners facing these symptoms to check the battery's capacity, inspect for dead battery signs, examine the starter, and assess the electrical system. If problems persist, consulting a mechanic for a thorough diagnosis and repair is recommended.

Some Cadillac DTS owners report experiencing issues where the vehicle cranks but won't turn over, often indicating potential problems with the fuel pump or fuel filter. A common cause for this issue is a faulty fuel pump, which can prevent the engine from receiving the necessary fuel to start. Additionally, a clogged or malfunctioning fuel filter may restrict fuel flow, leading to similar starting difficulties. Owners are advised to check fuel pressure using a gauge, as low pressure could signal a failing fuel pump. Listening for a humming sound from the fuel tank when the ignition is turned on can also help identify fuel pump issues. Furthermore, inspecting the fuel pump relay and fuse is crucial, as faulty components can impede fuel pump operation. Other factors, such as a weak battery or a bad starter, may also contribute to starting problems, so it's important to rule these out. For accurate diagnosis and resolution, consulting a professional mechanic is recommended.
