RepairPal Expert Overview on September 6, 2011

One or both front lower control arms may break due to corrosion from road salt.

Subaru will notify owners of affected vehicles during November, 2011. If your vehicle is, or has been, operated in areas where salt is used to de-ice the roads, or you don't receive notification and you feel you should have, please contact your dealer. It's helpful to have your vehicle identification number (VIN) when you call.

RepairPal Expert Overview on October 8, 2004

On 26 vehicles, a cover may not have been tightened properly, which could allow oil to leak. If leaking oil contacts hot engine components, a fire could result in the engine compartment.

Please contact your Subaru dealer. They will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
