After about thirty minutes with the truck warming up while driving, stabiltrak and traction control kick off. Seems to be heat related. Got codes 0710 and 0455. Steering sensor fail. Haven't taken it the dealer yet. Well maintained and I'm the original owner. Help!!!
Service Stabili Trac and Traction Controll both started coming on. Took it into dealership they told me it was the Steering Wheel position sensor because of the codes my vehicle displayed
Stabilitrak errors used to be intermittent and now it happens every time truck starts. I can get it to occur by just starting vehicle and turning the steering wheel. I am assuming this is the steering wheel position sensor. Thoughts??
Whenever driving whether 5 minutes or 30. I turn the blinker to turn i will with either get a service stabiltrak message and the steering wheel kicks back or the engine just dies while turning. Haven't gotten it to the dealer yet
The service stability track and traction control frequently flashes followed by the check engine light...
The service stability track and traction control message plus traction control off warning light. It would reset its self overnight and turn back on after driving a few miles. Took to dealer service and codes said bad steering position sensor. $277.00 part and labor.
when truck sets overnight all is good. when it sets for 10 hours at work the message for traction control and stabilizer and ABS warning light comes on.
getting the "service stabilitrak" message, while driving on the freeway. Took it to the dealer, and they said that it's the steering wheel position sensor. However, about the same time, my power steering seems to go out when i'm trying to park in small spaces...
Tracti on control stabilitrack service light on Needed steering position sensor replaced .ok now.
stabilitrak and traction control light comes on as soon as you turn the wheel. At first it would take a few miles before it would come on. When it took a while, it would do it while moving down the road and would automatically apply brakes and almost throw you off the road! very dangerous.
I just had this occur with my 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT with less than 50,000 miles.
Because I bought the truck as a GM certified vehicle, the dealer covered the repair even though I was just slightly out of the warranty.
Good thing, the part alone (Wheel position Sensor) is $200.00. Add to that the diagnostic time as well as the labor to replace it and the repair would have cost between 400 and 500 dollars
