My steering made a clunk noise and my steering went out - as a result I went over a 250 ft embankment, luckily I walked away with minor injuries compared to what it could have been. God was with me this morning!
It happened to me. Clunk in the steering as I would turn.
intermidiate steering shaft was replaced. This also happened to my 2003 Chevy Tahoe. Still own them both. Other than this both SUV's flawless.
I notice it getting louder when turning. I have replaced every front end chasis part and even put brand new bilstien compressor and shocks front and rear and I still get this clunking sound. Very irritating. Just wondering if this is just part of the GM laundry list of vehicles.
