Static Discharge From Passenger Front Door Handle Can Cause Loss of Funtionality on Chrysler Pacifica

Problem Description and Possible Solution

Static discharge through the right (passenger) front door handle can result in a loss of functionality from the right front door switches, power mirrors, seat controls, and door locks. There is a revised door handle which is more static resistant. A new door module may be needed if the module does not reset properly.

The battery was disconnected and when it was put back on, the module would not responde. Have tried to reset it, but will not work.

On a recent trip my niece was getting shocked every tome she got out of the car. She got to the point of using a small towel to close the door
