How are clutch issues diagnosed?

The technician will inspect the clutch hydraulics and clutch cable, if equipped. Shifting problems may arise from leaking clutch master cylinders, misadjusted clutch cables or worn pivot arms. The new components will then be installed, and after assembly, the technician will check for proper operation.
