How are clutch issues diagnosed?

The technician will inspect the clutch hydraulics and clutch cable, if equipped. Shifting problems may arise from leaking clutch master cylinders, misadjusted clutch cables or worn pivot arms. The flywheel may be removed for resurfacing or replacement, and the pilot bearing will be removed from the rear of the crankshaft. The new components will then be installed, and after assembly, the technician will check for proper operation.
