bought the van after it had been sitting a while in a parking garage. it started and ran, but had less gas in the tank then i'd thought. the engine died on the way home when it ran out of gas. towed it back home, filled it with fresh gas, and it wouldn't start. i tried adding fuel directly, but it died once that supply had been used. i came to the conclusion that the pump must have died when the tank ran empty.
