THE SHORT CIRCUIT CANPOSSIBLY CAUSE THE UNDERHOOD WIREING TO OVERHEAT AND SMOKE, CAUSING A FIRE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. A SHORT CIRCUIT CAN ALSO RESULT IN A BLOWN FUSE OR DEAD BATTERY.
Honda is recalling sedans, coupes, and wagon passenger vehicles (except DX models and models with V6 engines) because the factory installed AC wire harness was improperly routed, which can cause a short circuit. The may cause the under-hood wiring to overheat and smoke, possibly causing a fire in the engine compartment. It can also lead to a blown fuse or dead battery. Dealers will inspect and repair the harness.
