Engine
Engine failure increases the risk of a crash. A bearing failure may cause a breach in the engine block, allowing hot oil to be discharged, increasing the risk of an engine fire.
Affecting vehicles equipped with a 3-cylinder 1.5L or 4-cylinder 2.0L variable compression turbo (VC-Turbo) engines, the internal engine bearings may not be manufactured properly and can lead to engine failure while driving. This increases the risk off a crash.
You must contact and visit a Nissan or Infiniti dealership to perform recall repairs on your Nissan or Infiniti vehicle respectively. The schedule for Nissan to initially contact known owners of affected vehicles was during May, 2020. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Nissan or Infiniti dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Nissan recall designations are R25A8, R25A9, R25B1, R25B2.
