Air bags and seat belts that deploy improperly or an air bag deploying unintentionally can increase the risk of injury in a crash.
The front air bags and seat belts may fail to deploy and protect occupants as needed in a crash, and a side curtain air bag may deploy unexpectedly and without need due to a wiring harness beneath the passenger front seat becoming damaged. All of this increases the risk of occupant injury.
You must contact and visit a Kia dealership to perform recall repairs on your Kia vehicle. The schedule for Kia to initially contact known owners of affected vehicles was during March, 2025. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Kia dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Kia recall designation is SC332.
