A part of the drivetrain called the power transfer unit (PTU) may become damaged and disengage then transmission and differential. This would lead to a loss of drive power and an inability to secure the vehicle in "park" gear. This can cause an accident and vehicle rollaway.

You must contact and visit a Jeep dealership to perform recall repairs on your Jeep vehicle. The schedule for Chrysler (FCA US) to contact known owners of affected vehicles is during February, 2025. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Jeep dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Jeep recall designation is 01C.

Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
