An owner who cannot see their VIN clearly may not recognize their vehicle is involved in a safety recall, and may not have the recall remedy performed, which could increase the risk of injury, fire, or a crash.
The VIN tag located at the bottom driver's side corner of the windshield area may be obstructed due to air bubbles in the windshield. It is important that the VIN be visible to identity the vehicle for having safety recalls or other needed service actions. This increases the risk of an accident or injury.
You must visit a Nissan dealership to perform recall repairs on your Nissan vehicle. The schedule for Nissan to contact known owners of affected vehicles is during August, 2024. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Nissan dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Nissan recall designation is PMA38.
