Suspension & Steering
Corroded and binding steering gears can result in a loss of steering control and increase the risk of a crash.
Water may enter the steering gear assembly due to it not being properly tightened. This can allow corrosion to occur inside the gear and cause binding of the steering gear operation, which can lead to loss of steering control and a crash.
You must contact and visit a Honda or Acura dealership to perform recall repairs on your Honda or Acura vehicle, respectively. The schedule for Honda to contact known owners of affected vehicles is during April, 2024. If you wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Honda or Acura dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Honda and Acura recall designations are LHU and FHT.
