Replacement 12 volt batteries in the engine compartment may not fit properly in the battery tray. This can allow the battery to move for shift and contact the hold down bracket which can create a short circuit and fire hazard.

You must contact and visit a Toyota dealership to perform recall repairs on your Toyota vehicle. The schedule for Toyota to contact known owners of affected vehicles is during December, 2023. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Toyota dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Toyota recall designations are 23TB13 and 23TA13.

Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you.
