Suspension & Steering
Ball joint separation while the vehicle is in motion can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
The lower control arms of the front suspension may have improperly tightened nuts that can allow the ball joint to separate, causing front suspension failure and leading to loss of vehicle control. This increases risk of an accident.
You must contact and visit a Subaru dealership to perform recall repairs on your Subaru vehicle. The schedule for Subaru to contact known owners of affected vehicles is during June, 2023. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Subaru dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Subaru recall designation is WRJ-23.
